I live in Shaftesbury, Dorset in a little Victorian terraced house with my partner who is a thatcher, my two lovely teenage daughters, plus our dog and 2 cats.

We have a long, thin garden and at the very end is my studio which has the perfect amount of windows for gazing out of. From there I can see a plethora of plants and garden birds, both of which provide plenty of ideas for my designs.

Medieval manuscripts provide further inspiration, especially the decorative bits around the edges. I also enjoy the artistic output of the Bloomsbury Group and Omega Workshop. I love the work produced by Eric Ravillious, Edward Bawden and their circle of talented friends.

I will happily spend the day at a car boot sale and can't resist a quirky object, especially if it’s a bargain.

I quite recently closed my small shop in town, and am now happily ensconced back at home with all my arty paraphernalia. I am looking forward to having more time to create more of my work again and will continue running occasional printmaking courses.

My modest dream is that I can nurture both my little business and my family to an acceptable standard, ideally with a generous amount of coffee and biscuits never too far away.

If you are interested in keeping up with my latest creations, my photos of the local area and general goings-on, please follow me on Facebook and Twitter. And please do say hello, it’s much more fun that way!
